Battery terminal fuses

hi,

Anyone used these battery terminal fuses ? looks like a good way to save some space, and gets the fuse right upto the battery itself.

sort of like this : http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/automotive-fuses/3377987/ but a much lower amperage ( ~ 50A ), am looking at this for the service/leisure battery.

I would go with the alternator rating, to match the fuse rating. Also, i guess this is the constant current rating.

Why that? If you want to put a fuse on the battery link then use simple calculation. For every 1sq.mm. thickness of the cable add 5 amp. In other words if you put 20sq.mm. cable on the link use 100amp fuse....35sq.mm. cable 175amp. fuse.
