beeping

In the last few days my truck has taken to beeping when I kill the engine, and sometimes when I turn on the ignition. It's a weird beeping - high pitch and 4 quick beeps repeated a few times.

Any ideas what's causing it?

Is it a Sony stereo head unit in the dash?

Could be the sunroof not closed.

or a window slightly open. Its like an alarm clock sound isn't it.

I get beeps from the Sony head unit too but the other alarm is quite different.

Dunno if the stereo's a Sony, but I've not heard this before a few days ago. I'll check the windows and sunroof tonight. It is exactly like an alarm clock!

Why, is it an alarm clock?

Yes, my last cruiser used to beep with sunroof left open. Haven't tried this one yet.
