Biodiesel Trial

Hi,
A local company has just started selling biodiesel made from Waste
Vegetable Oil for 85p/litre so I have decided to give it a go.
By all accounts the car should run cleaner (they recommend changing the
fuel filter after the first few hundred miles) with similar
performance.
I have only done a handful of miles but it already feels a bit perkier
and I am hoping that since it runs cleaner and I have injectors that
are well overdue a service, it might actually help improve the economy.
I'll let you know how I get on.

Julain,
Why bother? At this price you can fill up normal diesel on the
continent while shopping for
Belgian chocolates or French wines ;-)

Really? I filled up on the 17th Sep in Belgium, came back home to
London, drove around London for over a week (OK, my office is only a
few miles away) and still have about 300L left in the tank. Not
practical? I don't think so :)

Roman,
What size of a tank do you have? That seems like a lot to have left.

Hi Clive,,
260 litres, give or take a few pints :)
... plus another 100 litres in five jerry cans if I don't want to
refuel too often.

Hi Roman,
I'm saying it's not practical for me on the basis that I don't go to
the continent that often.
On the other hand if I had LR tanks and lived close to a cheap route to
the continent, then I might consider it.

Roman,
Then how have you got 300 left? Is that a missprint?
