Hi Guys
I have the cruiser booked in for the suspension for next tuesday, this was
the earliest he could do When the cruiser is there I have asked him to raise
the diff breathers, gear box and transfere breathers. I have also asked him
to bleed the brake system aswell. see I do take note of all the excellent
advice you lot give me. I have a question about the brake fluid, does it
matter what type is used and will it use 1 or more litres to flush.
What is the name of the greese for the bearings. I will do as Julian
suggests, is it the lithium stuff that I need and does it make any
difference what brand. Im asking this because I can get the greese and brake
fluid for him rather than him use a cheapo , but if it makes no difference
then i will leave it to him.
Thanks john

Hi John,
You must have a Lithium based grease for the wheel bearings and a Moly based
one for the Birfield.
Most motor factors in the UK seems to sell either multi-purpose grease that
(should in theory) do both or a general purpose wheel bearing grease and
general purpose CV joint grease.
Personally I would prefer something a little bit better than boggy basic
grease so hunted around and have found a couple of good ranges of grease from
Mobil.
Are you going to get him to check the Birfield?

Hi John,
What do the balls look like on the axle with regards the grease?

Hi Julian
The balls are nice and shiny only a little grease on both, so this is good
YES. Anyway I will have him look at it if he has the time that is.
Thanks
