Hi Julian
Could you tell me please what the difference in size is actually between the
early and late 92 model 80 calipers. To compare like with like if it is 20%
bigger does this translate to 20% better braking, or is it not as easy as
that. Do you know why they TOY upgraded the calipers and discs.

Hi John,
Unfortunately I don't have the dimensions of the calipers, but with the disks
they went for a slightly wider diameter disk and slightly more offset on the
disk.
Looking in more detail, I think that the hubs changed at some point as well, so
if you are going to upgrade you would need to make sure that you have all the
right bits from the donor vehicle.
Interestingly the pads also changed in 8/92 and then again in 5/95, yet Milner
only specify just the one set.
I have Milner's 100 series pads on mine at the moment at the front, but will
move back to Toyota ones next time round, they give off less dust and supposed
to be better.

A bit late to reply to this but I have been away. On earlier models
the calipers were 160mm, on later 230mm.
