Hello the guys, I am listening to my friend garagist and he say I
could have fun with a Land Rover not very espensive, with V8 motor. He
fixes them too and I guess they are not so bad excepte all the
electrical stuff. I will take out the seats and make her liter. No
power windows or central condemnation. Just a heater. And if I wants
bigger tires we just sort the power reciprocation saw and cut the
aluminum wings off!
Stay posted and we will see how she works.

Benoit
It may not be expensive to buy but a V8 will drink fuel and be expensive to
run. And you will always have a spanner in your hand fixing it. And anyway.
It's a Land Rover. Enough said. C'est fini

You will get a lot of fun out of a land rover, if you like working on
cars and not knowing when it will work.

Yes these guys you are giving voice to the thinking common held by
mainy people. Most problems are with stupide luxury stuffs on Land
Rover. But my friend does shown me other wise. I am there much time on
weeks recent and learn from him.
For 2000 euro I can gets a "beater" and non fear damage my 80 in some
horridle mud bogs. Petrol is just money and let us be honest to each
others the guys, we are not poor compares to citizens in Afrique. So
what I drive a V8 only one time the week, I use little petrol.
Anyway I will try this V8 I always love that sound vroum vroum you know?

Good morning Benoit.

Hello Peter I don not know what brought this on suddenly as you said.
May be 2 weeks with my hdj80 all in pieces and still waiting shorts
block! But I spending much time at my friend garage recently where my
80 is afflicting and I see all these V8.
Wow the sound vroum vroum is make chicken flesh on me. My friend tell
me truth full about what is points faibles on them LR's and what is
points strongs. Do you know that LR's chassis is made thicker then our
80? Do you know that origine sparking system on LR cost 2000 euro to
renew and is not worth butt cheeks? Wow I learn some things and shorts
cuts with less money spended from my friend. He is the quiet guy but
the deep thinking.
So he have may be 5 every month to sell and to me he say the best one
from them all because rust is only very small, so then I say to wife
hello we have some big garage place left so why not? For once she say
OK instead of making derisoir comment about 4x4's. So then I did act
quick before she say no again. I all ready say yes to my friend but
the Range Rover is on his garage now still getting some basic
revisions but he is closed this week for vacations.
