Is it worth fitting a CDL switch to a 97 manual cruiser?

I've been reading through a few different forums that say it is a simple and worthwhile mod, but can't decide..

Also not sure which switch I would need - there appears to be two different ones - a push or a twist.

I understand the wiring and plug is already there on the wiring loom.

Mine has ABS fitted, being an Anniversary edition and has the later dashboard.. so not sure whether it fits in the dash next to hazard light switch, or bigger hole on the left of the steering wheel?

Cheers

Chris

Yes it's worth it , also pull the plug on the transfer to get full control in high or low range .
On your vehicle the switch will go next to the hazard switch , and yes the wiring and plug will be there although it may be taped back against the loom .

one of the cheapest and best things you can do to your 80

low range without the CDL engaged is great for reversing trailers/pulling heavy loads.

being able to engage the CDL in high range whilst on the move is great in snow.

Thanks ..

Which locker switch for the 97 model.. Am I right in thinking it's the second one?

Yes its the second one Chris. The first is for selection of front and rear diff locks when fitted
