Hi Reno,
That will most likely be your front CV joints - they are pretty solid
things, but always neglected by dealers so could well be on their way
out.
For the short term, pump some grease into the knuckle housing via the
square topped plug on the front top of the knuckle and then brace
yourself for a complete strip down and replacement of the CV, although
you can swap them around.
Get Milners to send you a seal kit for the knuckles - ?30 + VAT +
delivery - you will be hard pressed to beat that. They also do the CVs
for ?80 each (+ VAT, yada yada). Whilst in there you might want to
check the wheel bearings.
When you pull the CV out you may well damage the inner axle seal, even
if you don't replace them - Milners do provide them in the kit, but
they aren't as flexible as the genuine Toyota ones so you will need to
do a trip to the dealer to get their ones (?8.50 each) - whilst there
you will need to get the cirlip to go on the end of the halfshaft,
unless you have a welder to hand and want to do the 'Marlin Tack' it
will make it easier when you come to do the next service/rebuild
(recommended every 20-30,000 miles) - see here:

You can do most things with a standard tool kit, although it is best to
get your hands on a proper 54mm thin walled hub socket - if you've got
contacts in the states, get Slee to send one over to you, otherwise you
can get one from Snapon.
