Well I am sorry I mentioned the reliability or otherwise of diesel fired
engine heating systems. As for LR problems, then look in back issues of
LROI to start.
Off topic but relevant - on the residential boat front, as soon as drip
feed diesel heaters became available there were, and still are, droves of
blown air heater owners converting due to all the inherent problems
encountered.
But WJ.......
you will be pleased to know that I fitted a Dutch made Kabola boiler
(originally made for trawlers) to my boat and many have admired it and
fitted the same. But at 6KW output its a tad too high for heating my 80
engine. I'll look further for others that heat the coolant via an electric
element on a timeswitch.
I will now crawl back under my lurking stone ;o)
But should I use low sulphur diesel in my 80 or not bother ? No one
appears to have an answer !
Cheers
