Hi all, my Collie 2002, 3.0D4 has begun getting some starting issues. The starter motor turns fine and everything sounds OK, but it takes longer and feels like fuel is not getting through and I need to pump the accelerator more than I had in the past. The glow plug light comes on and then goes off as normal, so I'm wondering if it is injectors or something like that.
Before it becomes a big problem, leaving me stranded, I thought I'd get it fixed now. Does anyone have any ideas??

Have you tested any of the glow plugs? They should be almost dead short circuit. Would also be worth checking they are getting voltage too.

Fuel lines are first suspect. A pinhole in either supply or return. Could be anywhere but the elbows above the fuel tank are a favourite grot spot. AIr gets in, and the fuel in the line drains back into the tank. The longer you leave it (e.g. overnight) the worse it is.
