Cost of tyre fitting

Called into kwik fit ( I know I know) to get a price for fitting 4 tyres onto rims and they quoted £120 ... is that extortionate or am I just underestimating the amount of work? What is a fair price for this?

I got a tyre swapped from one rim to another at my local place a few weeks ago. Cost £10.

That sounds more like it ... I was expecting maybe £50 with £60 being the limit.

I was quoted £12 a tyre to fit and then they had to balance them. Came in at £70 for 5

Hi Grant, nice to have met you Sat. the chocs are outstanding thanks but I've been put on a on one a day ration!!
Should be £10/ tyre max. try a smaller independent tyre place, they will be glad of the business.
I used the local ATS where I buy my truck tyres from ( in lots of 12) to rotate 4 BFG's and re balance, only to be faced with a £98+vat bill. Guess what I went nuts and they told me that was cheap as I was an account customer!!. Kingsway tyres told me a tenner each tops.

Made a few phone calls and found a place close to work that will do it for a tenner a tyre! A big relief
