Hi All
Has anybody out there fitted aftermarket cruise control to their vehicle?
It's just something I quite fancy as I do quite a lot of motorway miles.
Any ideas / thoughts?

Knowing toyota all of the looms are there. I would list the parts
needed and go to a scrapyard. I had a 2002 Colorado VX and I cant
remember whether it had CC or not. I have the Toyota manuals here if
you dont have them and need help.
Regards, Clive.

Hi Clive
Thanks for that. What manuals do you have and are they any good? My dealer
says that they don't do a manual, so I haver no idea where to start.
Regards
Mark

When I owned a colorado I bought most of the toyota manuals for it, I
have Eight in total, some being upgrade supplements. Ask another
dealer, or call Toyota.
Regards, Clive.

Clive,
You wouldn't consider selling your Colorado manuals would you?

Hi Rod
I don't know if this is of any help but www.milneroffroad.com has some
manuals in stock for the Prado / Colorado. I am going to pick one up
tomorrow as they are not far from me, so I'll let you know what I think.

Hi Mark
I've got a Gregory's (now Haynes) manual for the petrol Prado which I
got from a place in Australia. It's typical Haynes in not telling you
the things you need to know but the main problem is that the wiring
diagrams don't give component locations which makes them useless on
something as complex as a cruiser. Pull any panel off the inside off the
truck and behind you'll find a mass of wiring and components.
There are quite a few differences between the Prado and the Colorado for
instance the Colorado has headlight washers, the Prado doesn't. This is
annoying 'cos mine don't work and I still haven't found the headlight
washer relay. So see what Milners have got but I may have to bite the
bullet and order at least the Body Elctrical manual off Mr T. I remember
reading somewhere the manuals are around £80 a section.
Cheers

Rod,
According to the toy. manual the relay is at the front on the
drivers side, down below the headlamp somewhere.

Thanks for that Clive. The washer reservoir and pumps are under the wing
down there with a large cover over them. I'll have fetch it off if it
ever stops raining !
Thanks again
