Hi Guys
Its a bad day here but the spirits are ok even with all the rain. I would
like you opinion on this. I have found a very generios man who will show me
how to do the CV seal and am really looking forward to getting messy. I
would like to know while it is apart should I get inner and outer bearings,
swilvel seal kit, swilvel bearing, swilvel shims or any thing else seeing
as how it will be apart..
Thanks

John,
You may as well get a seal kit from Milners and do all of the
seals. If the swivel bearings are worn you can feel it with the weight
off the wheels, they take a set in one position and you can feel the
'ridge' as you carefully steer over it.
Regards, Clive.

Hi clive
I am so delighted to get this done while I do it and am watched by a guy who
knows that I will be happy enough..His time is short and even to get the
inner seal done will be a good start. I might even buy a set of overalls
next with MAN at work written on them and of course loads of oil smudged on
to look the part. What do ya think, I might even get to like it. While I
have you here, I was thinking of doing the swinging arm rubber myself but do
not know what will happen when I remove the bolt and nut, will the arm fall
and crack me noggin or something else. Is it easy to do.

John,
I've not done the arm yet but I don't see a problem there, apart
from getting the old stuff out.

Hi Guys
Juat had alook at the cv joint and while it appears naerly the same its not.
I have the original one fron the other side that went on my a couple of
years ago to compare it to. The cone seems a little thinner in
circumferance, while all the other sizes seem the same, is this normal. I
know I worry but some one has to.
