Hi Julian
You will be retracting you welcome back its been quite statement very soon. More like it will read will this pain in the arse ever give up and buy a mini or ford.
Thanks for the info, I know I should use fuel pipe to extend the breathers but the local guy wants 4 euro per metre, does that sound about right, which could run into millions by the time I get it right after the tenth time.
If I do extend the rear diff ,gear box, transfere case ,would I push the pipe up into the rear wheel well where there is a bunch of wires and a slite opening to allow these wire to go from under the body to the inside of the side panel.
No fear of nme rushing the snorkel instlation , I would say about one week from start to finish, after all I have to make sure its on the correst side to start with and think and think do I really want to put a large hole in my perfacly good wing and loads more holes in my windscreen pillar aswell, what if I do something wrong. See It will take a long time believe me.
Oils Oils Oils, sure im sure im not sure about changing to synthetic oils at all.. I know the benifits and all that but have also heard that in the engine it can dislodge particals and clog little oil ports etc. In my case this might not happen but WOULD HAPPEN. I change I change the engine oil and filter bang on 3000 miles, at least I did now with the mileage clock going bananas I dont know at what intervals it will be at really.
Ok ill go I can hear you lot saying shut up and stop yapping we have better things to do.

Hi John,
6mm diameter tubing should be all you need, it doesn't have to be high
spec braided fuel line. Perhaps explain to the chap what you need it
for and it he could advise you.
Some people extend the rear diff up that way and then run the transfer
case forward - it is really up to you.
Didn't you have a complete engine rebuild not too long ago? If you did
and you change the oil that regularly the engine should be pretty clean
inside. I would be inclined to stick with what you are doing -
changing synthetic oil that often will end up being very expensive.
On the speedo front, check out:
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
That will enable you to calculate the differences in your speed with
the two sets of tyres.
