I travel with the dog alot and i'm thinking about covering the interior movement sensor with something to stop it kicking off. Gona experiment today [somewhere quiet!]

I dont want to permamently disable it 'cause sometimes i'm in 'scumbag lands' and i need it then.

Anyone tried this?

Cheers

Is there not a switch in the overhead console with the interior lights switches etc?

Two pieces of duct-tape,one for each side of the sensor to cover the sensor plastic grilles, problem solved in seconds.
A car-alarm specialist told me to try this years ago.
Only had the car eleven years!
Now i dont have to press the consul switch while wrestling with dogs and so on.
Cheers

Hi toolsplus,
I sleep in the back of my truck occasionally and do exactly the same, never had a problem.

'I'd like my future to include LCruisers and a dog'

then a mate said 'you're allready there then'

duct tape still working but looks messy
was thinking about removing the big plastic sensor trim and blocking the sensors from the inside
has anyone taken this cover off before?

cheers

With my dog in the car i just use the key to lock the door and as she dont like being left alone she barks so being a GSD in my truck its amazing to see mums gather their kids and give the truck a wide berth even seen grown men do the same
