Disabling ABS?

Hi All,
Is it possible to disable ABS completely, if so how? or even is it
advisable. I mentioned quite a while ago I was having problems with ABS
cutting in as I came to a halt, well it seems to be getting worse and I
would like to just have normal braking until I can get the ABS problem
rectified.
Thanks in advance

Hi Chas,
in my case on lc kzj95 (colorado/prado etc...) it was possible - so I
have a on/off switch for ABS which I found quite useful.
To be honest I don't know much about the technical details since it was
installed in local garage ( they used a relay for this purpose...).
Regards,
Tomaz

Pull out the fuse!
It won't pass an MoT though because they check for the coming on the
orange light & the going off of the same.

| Pull out the fuse!
After I pressed "Send" it dawned on me that I was being less than
helpful about the fuse location!
On my 96 version it is fuse #28 in the engine compartment (see towards
the end of http://www.lc80.freeola.net/)
I should think it's the same in yours, but in case it isn't Jon

Hi Christopher,
Thanks very much, I shall check that this afternoon, I am busy at the moment
installing a new washing machine, I'd much rather be working on the Cruiser
though.

Hello the guys, it is possible to put the ABS to defaillance just by
interruping one wire to some ABS wheel sonder. Maybe put this wire on a
switcher so you can put the switcher back on "on" for pass control technique
(MOT for you?).
