Hi all, after having and laning Landrovers I eventually got let down by my Discovery one too many times and converted to a SWB 1996 Prado. Looking forward to many trouble free years with her driving the lanes.
Based in Aylesbury I am looking for a local garage specialising if any body knows one.
Taking her to Spain in the summer. At least I can say I have a return ticket with my LittleMo.

I'm the same, after owning two discos, three defenders, I'm now a Landcruiser 80/100/105 fanatic. Nothing has broken on my Toyota yet and in the same time I'm having to repair my Defender again.

Welcome aboard. I run a 110 Defender and an 80 Series LC, and sundry other vehicles. TBH the Defender (and various other Landies I've owned) is as reliable as the Cruiser. I think the Toyotas were definitely better made from the factory, but a couple of decades down the road and there isn't much difference. in terms of reliability etc - and Yotas are definitely more expensive on parts. At 20 years plus, I'm not sure the Prado will be any more reliable than a similar Landy, but have fun either way ;-)

That is nice :) There was some research carried out by scientists and it was conclusively proven that blue ones are the best.

Shame to take that Down the Lanes..... Welcome Mate... (Il always have a soft spot for the 90)

Haha, The and Cruiser has already proved itself more reliable by completing more than 250 miles.

LOL!! Fair enough. Can't say I was ever a Disco fan, to be fair, but I've had a few Defenders and never really had any significant reliability issues (inc doing a couple of thousand miles in one up to and around Iceland). That said, maintenance counts for a lot with any of these vehicles. Keep on top of the Prado and it should do you well.

Hi and welcome landrovers r not one bit good but I like the the look of that 90 it's a big:thumbup: up from Tony.

Welcome aboard Bruce

As a JDM import (by the look of it) it shouldn’t have too much rust underneath, it’s a fine looking beast up top

Yes Clive, you are right. She came into the country in 2002 from Japan where she was born in 1996. Just about spotless until I took her out on the lanes.
