Door lock solenoid part no

Can anyone help with a part number for a nearside(passenger) door central
locking solenoid switch which I think needs replacing?
It is erratic, lazy and sometimes works a treat and sometimes not at all...
Thanks

Hi Jeremy,
Annoyingly I cannot find the part numbers for the solenoids at the
front, but will try some mroe digging later.
Have you tried stripping down the door and lubricating the various
elements of the lock mechanism, all the rods, etc?

I have done this twice now and no real difference noted. The only time
things were better was after hitting a massive pothole on a rocky piste and
the lock worked a treat for about 3 weeks. Then all of a sudden, in southern
France on our way home, it went lazy again. Which is why I think it is
electrical/switch/wiring. To do any of these I'll have to take the door trim
off so I'll lubricate one more time.
Thanks Julian

Hi Jeremy,
Whilst you are at it take the solenoid out if you can and then try moving the
rods manually - I have found that they can get bent over time causing the joins
to tighten.
If you have any old fasioned wire coat hangars around they can be bent into
shape to replace the rods! I had one snap on the solenoid im my last 80 - the
coat hangar was a good Heath Robinson solution.

Hello guys,
I've tried all the tricks of the trade and they never worked. I am
suspecting the problem lies not only (if at all) in the solenoid but
in the door lock ECU.
Jeremy , I seem to remeber that you have a problem to lock the door
remotely but the door key lock works OK. Is that correct? If so, have
you thought about bypassign the ECU to see if it makes a difference?

The passenger door lock is lazy whether I use the remote or the key. To make
it work with the key I have to lock/unlock several times. But It is not
consistent, and after a shock after hitting a pothole, it was fine.
By the way, I'm not at home and don't have manuals with me but where is the
door lock ecu?
Cheers
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,
If I remember rightly it is inside the drivers door.
