Driver door locked shut !!!

Hi Reno,
Is the door actually locked or just jammed?
If it is just locked shouldn't you still be able to open it from the
inside using the door handle as normal.
I have seen a problem in the past where one of the control rods for
activating the lock/unlock mechanism had snapped and fixed it using a
bit of old coat hangar, but you need to take the door trim off to get
to it.
To take the door trim off, remove the switch panel (pulls up) as well
as the trim for the arm rest (again lifts off) - This should reveal a
couple of philips headed bolts to undo. There will also be one at the
top of the grab handle above the door lock. Also pull the door handle
to open the door which will show a small philips screw holding the door
handle surround - undo this and take off the sorround.
Once you have done this you can prise the trim away from the door
around the bottom enge and then lift up and off - there is a lip that
drops down into the window slot.
Once you have peeled back the plasic water covering you should have
access to all you need.

Reno,
You can undo the two bolts in the arm rest and handle, Working at the
lock end first lift the trim panel upwards ro release the upper edge,
then prise it away from the door to expose the lock assembly - just
enough to operate the linkages by hand.
