Hey chaps, how's everyone doing?

Went for MOT, flew thru, but the chap had wound the window down fully and now it's not responding :icon-rolleyes:

I suspect the comutator has a bad spot on the motor, it went thru a period of 'iffyness' last year but self corrected. (I never wound it fully down after that!) it had new rubbers ~4yrs ago

Got the door card off, motor not responding at all, whole mech thing seems jammed up but it might just be the motor holding it stuck dunno (Then of course the heavens opened and we're in act 2 of Noah's Ark) before I proceed to break something, how do I get the motor out?

Do I have to undo all the bolts holding the mech to the innner skin of the door, is it best to leave the window rail attached to the mech, front bolt on the rail is behind innner door skin looking impossible to get at anyway :wtf:

noticed a new mech/regulator/motor on ebay for £65 is that a good deal?

You have to remove the mechanism and motor as 1 unit.

Check out milners as I thought there units were around 40quid ish

Cheers Stu

does the window have to come out to get the mech out?

same price on Milners but they want +£6.50 for delivery, free delivery on the bay

Nah I leave the window in.

Ahh ok thought they were cheaper worth a shot

Cheers Stu

now if it'd just stop pissisting down I could get on with it
