I was just wondering if any alterations has to be made to my LC (Left
hand drive, I'm from denmark) when I go' for a drive en GB .. I'm mostly
thinking about the headlights?
Well.. I'll just be there for at short while, so I'm not thinking of
anything permanent.. ;)

Michael,
The only thing I do to my car when I travel is to blank off the
part of the headlight that causes the beam to dip to the left, this
gives a dip that is vertical and so does not blind other people. When
I go to see relatives in France they tell me they don't bother when
they come to the UK.

They should IMHO... It explains why so many continental drivers dazzle the
rest of us when they come over. UK drivers seem to always comply and there
is no reason why they shouldn't. Laziness? Arrogance?...
It can get dangerous on country roads near the tunnel - plenty of personal
experience.

Jeremy,
Of course they should bother. However, do you see the UK Police
force being bothered to check? That would be policing and they are a
long way removed from that.

Agreed but again IMHO they shouldn't have to - we as drivers here and abroad
should just do it. It's cheap and easy to do - for my car I just slap on
another set of headlamp protectors with deflectors already attached. After
all, we manage much more complex tasks ie driving on the other side etc etc.

Jeremy,
I just black out the bit on the lens that deflects the beam with
Black electrical tape.

Hi Michael
Just stick on the deflectors as we would do if we went to visit your
country.
I have tried both the plastic deflectors and blanking out the lense and
found the deflectors better as you keep all your light beam power and as we
know with the 80 we need all we can get and keep.

This might be a stupid question, how do you use the deflectors? .. is it
a lot of trouble using them..? .. and where do I get them ;)
The blanking of the lense I understand ;)
