No, I mean heating wires embedded in the glass, like several modern vehicles
today (even a Kia Sorento 4x4 has it, darn!....;))
Back then the wires might still have been a bit thick, hence visible, unlike
today, but I could live with that (and a production run today would have the
thin wires now as well of course).
Anything in front of the original windscreen would be clumsy, for cleaning....
(headlight and taillight protection can be very clumsy for the same
reason....even an 'open' bullbar can get seriously in the way, once things thaw
up & freeze over several times....chopping and poking the stuff out)
I once showered outdoors at -10C....:))
Heating a 20L jerrycan inside the vehicle, against the air-exit of our
auxiliary Webasto airheater, and putting the jerrycan on top of the roof, with
a hose you could squeeze shut.
(with a Dutch YPR-765 track, successor of M113)
Always am the last one in a ski-lift too, when they close due to bad
weather....:))
There is no bad weather, only bad clothing....:))
