E.G.B. Emergency Grab Bag

Before the recent trip out with @Rodger I glanced through my EGB and was surprised at what I had not listed above.

Sun protection cream.
4 small tubes of superglue, great for gluing skin, hurts like hell but very effective.
Tissues for superglue tears :icon-biggrin:
Paracetamol
Hemacranial (Migraine pills)
Cotton wool buds for fire starting, and of course if I start to get blisters from rubbing sticks together I can use one of the two lighters I have. :icon-biggrin:
A couple of safety razors.
Note pad
Permanent marker
Spare reading glasses.
A very very sharp knife.

So easy to go overboard, I had thought about a satellite phone, and one of those PLB devices, I noted the EPIRB devices but apparently they are more for marine use, need to look into that a bit more?

I think where you go and if you travel in a group will dictate your purchase.

I always say when I expect to return and the general area I will be in, perhaps a better idea would be those boat emergency flares? They can be seen for miles by someone looking for you.

Regards

Dave
