Electrical hi IHave a 2005 hdj 79r Landcruiser and am wishing to tap into the negative wire on the instrument illumination most probably after the dim

Hi I have a 2005 HDJ 79r Vehicle and I was hoping to tap into the negative wire on instrument illumination preferably after the dimmer switch and was wondering which wire it is.
I am installing a r red arc boost gauge and the instructions are suggesting this with the Parker being the positive.
This will enable the gauges to be dimmed together.
I’m a new member please tell me if I’m on the correct track.

Just use any earth point if its negative you want
