Failed MOT

Took the truck for it's MOT today - big fat fail when one of the brake pipes burst!

Couple of others where in need of replacement as well (basically all three that are connected to the bias valve and one front one that runs to the flexi hose), so I started on that job today. Of course, the one that failed is one that runs into the bias valve over the rear axle - the unions midway down the chassis rail, no problem, the ones into the valve body, no chance that they'll come out! I decided to remove the valve assembly to make it a bit easier to get tools onto, what a faff that turned out to be, sheared both the bolts that retain the valve to it's bracket, so that's two more to replace. Hoping I don't wreck too much more to get the job done, I'm looking forward to slackening off the bleed nipples.... not.

Aside from the brake pipes, it was all rosy, not bad for a 16 year old truck

Bummer - typical 'easy' job turning into a right mare!
good luck
Steve
