On a recent trip I had an engine management light come on and the vehicle went into reduced power. Found somewhere safe to stop, switched it off and had a look under the bonnet and underneath for any clues. Nothing to be seen so carefully started it up again and carried on with my journey. Normal service has been resumed but obviously taking things carefully until I trace the problem.

Local garage read the fault code as R1250 which shows turbocharger fault, suggested I check wiring and any other pipes or suchlike going to the turbo first. I will do this later in the week but just wondered in the meantime if anyone else had experience of this problem? Thanks

Searching for P1250 instead of R1250 might bring up more hits - theres a few on this forum and others - looking around, wiring and wastegate actuator seem to the the places to start?
