Hi all
Just wondered if someone out there knew the cheapest and best source of
consumables ie air/fuel/oil filters...
Plenty of people do them but maybe there is a 'best' supplier...

Hi Jeremy,
You should be able to find most of what you need at:
http://www.milneroffroad.com/HDJ80.HTM
If you want to be a purist I would try to stick to the factory air and
fuel filters although I am sure alternatives from Milner or even you
local motor factor (mine supplies Fram filters) should be OK.

Having tried various brands over my past six years of Toyota 4 x 4
diesel ownership, I compared the weight of new Toyota OE and Milner
Landcruiser oil filters. Physically both the same size but the OE part
was significantly heavier than the Milner part. Whilst I cannot be
certain I would have to conclude that the Toyota filter had more /
denser filter media in it than the Milner one. This made me curious so a
bought a Fram filter - it weighed more than the Milner but less than the
Toyota OE.
A futher thing to consider is that the diesel OE filters contain a by -
pass filter within them. Hence they can stay in place for long periods -
provided you change the oil at the prescribed intervals. Craig Vincent
from N.Z. has told me this and I value his opinion. Do filters from
other suppliers have the by pass ability ? I do not know and the only
way to find out would be to cut them open.
My humble opinion - stick with OE oil filters at least, experiment with
air and fuel filters if you wish.

Diesel for the cruisers, the Toyota name brand aswell, I dont know if that
