Since Saturday I've been in France and I have to say it's been marvellous. We've ate and drank like kings and bathed in 30 degrees just about every day. So far we've been to verdun besancon gap antibes and now in Carcassonne. All good apart from some prices, €8 for a pint in antibes...... We're still here for another week and going to visit roses (just over the Spanish border on coast) then lepuy troyes and last stop boulogne before ferry home. I am rather gutted we haven't been able to come in the 80 as it's not quite finished yet. But travelling this amount of distance I didn't want to rush it and not have time to test it. Next year will be definite though, the set up with the oztent is brilliant, we have the fly sheet and a ground sheet which make it even better. Just can't wait for it to be on the roof of the cruiser next time. Hopefully it'll make it to lincomb.........

I'm not too sure Andy. A friend of mine said it was nice so thought I'd go. Are you meaning driving in the mountains or walking?

Nice one josh. Looks great. You didnt manage to get her ready for the summer hols then?

To be honest cg it isn't far off at all now, a couple more weeks it might be ready for a test drive. But my other half has to book off holidays at least a month in advance which would then take us in to October and then wouldn't be that summery......... plus after a complete rebuild it might be a good idea to put some miles on it first. Plenty of time for travels I say

Might have to go and make friends with this guy. Very nice piece of kit. Anyone know them?

Thanks Steve. Quite the opposite of shabby! Ah I see, we will be sure to hit the beaches, that's tomorrow's stop

Today saw us arrive at roses Spain (lovely place came here last year too, campsite joncar mar 2 mins away from centre) the roads were lovely went d118/d117 then a9 the rest of the way so a good mixture of roads. Since getting here had a complete disaster. Some twat was trying to use his old bank card to load money on to the weswap card that is used for drawing money out abroad. So after deciding my card wouldn't work (no surprise when it's expired!) I thought I'd use my girlfriends card. This worked for the first transaction then we realised I'd dropped a massive balls up and thought I'd upload my new card details. This then blocked the weswap account as id used 2 different names. This then took many phone calls and emails to resolve. Oh my Lord where is the nearest bar!!!!!

Josh we were standing in that very same spot only a couple of weeks ago looking at the Citadel in Carcassone. Must be lovely when all the tourists have buggered off. We thought it funny that two of the hotels in there were Best Western!

Did you get things working again Josh? I'm only about an hour and a half away if you need any help.

Did you stop at camping de la cite? To be honest it was still very busy in the centre. Yeah I did make a joke of that myself! Defienetly a place to return to though

the roads and villages are back to normal! Kids go back to school today and calm has returned :) few holiday makers left :)

Don't recall where we camped Josh. It was on a lake. Quite nice but not enough loos and showers.

Today is our last day before ferry tomorrow. Tuesday Wednesday we stopped in le puy which I have to say was stunning. The campsite was 5 minutes away from everything and had excellent veiws! There was a light festival on which saw the theatre and cathedral lit up-very impressive! And also my girlfriend was so impressed she'd make garlic bread I thought I better share this with you all too haha
