Hello Does the 100 series come with a fridge in the centre console? or is it an optional extra?

Cheers Warren.

Does yours Have one or are you lucky if you find one with a fridge?

In this country you are lucky to find one and to be honest would not be too bothered about it as you can always retro fit a Waeco CDF11 fridge in place of the center console. It looks like this

Well I finally managed to do some work on the cruiser today in preparation for the road trip to Italy.

I managed to get the AC tested and as i thought it has a number of leaks in the line going to the rear so out it came in bits and pieces and i will post the two ends off to get a single flex line made up.

Thanks to Marius who gave me the idea for installing a fridge as the center console.

The fridge is a Waeco CDF-11 for those that are interested.

After stripping out the center console you left with this

Then removing the base plate and a few other small bits you end up with this.

A bit of 10mm ply, some contact and some rubber mat and i ended up with a base plate

The base plate bolt into place like this

Prior to bolting it in i thought i would show you how it fits the fridge and the strap to hold it in place.

It fits very nicely and even looks a bit OEM if i say so myself

For the mean time its just plugged into one of the cig lighter sockets until i work out how best to power it long term off an aux battery.

It does have an auto cut out if it senses your battery is low and they are pre set too either 10.1 or 11.4 or 11.8 and then it auto starts once it senses a charge.

I let it run with the car idling for 45min set to -18 with an ambient of 28 and the water i put inside was ice cold and much longer would have froze.

Im very happy and will report back after the trip on how it behaved.

I like Warren's Waeco install immensely, thought long and hard about fitting one in the 80. I'd have to re-route the rear heater (which I want to keep) but I'm sure there must be a way.

You must be very proud of that Warren!

What screw or bolt size is needed for the back and front oem mounting points.
Is there a manual that tells this because I am missing many screws most doors have one and Or 2 that are different
