Front and Rear Suspension Assembly

I'm going to be removing the lift kit out of the collie to return it to stock ride height. Done a few suspension swaps on cars but not a 4x4.

im waiting for front new shocks to arrive, the bushes in the rear shocks and front top mounts are not the same as the standard ones, looking at the following pics can you tell me if I have arranged them correctly.First 2 pics are of the rears and the rest are the front.

Looks right to me Umar, I've replaced both front and rear and I'd be willing to bet it's right.I just followed the layout of what I took off.

pic 3 is the front strut without the topmount and standard bushes pic 4 is what I have received whats confusing me is that the new topmount has not got the same type of bushes as pic 3 which are the stock ones so maybe it's just a different design??? In pic 4 I have assembled the topmount without using the old bushes looks and seems ok.

The top mount in pic 3 looks like it has the bush in it already, so should be spot on

Be careful with the springs, they're a lot stronger than car springs. A car spring compressor might not be up to the task

Right then people I've got the rears done and now the fronts the first of the following pics is how the topmount assembles according to Roughtrax I.e retainer on top and bottom. Ordered some new Monroe shocks and the shock cover comes with like a built in retainer, I have called Roughtrax and they insist that the large retainer under the top mount needs to go exactly there so there will be kind of 2 retainers underneath and it will be metal to metal surely this can't be right?

I have double checked this with my collegues in Oz. Starting from the bottom, the boot with its integral washer on first, then the large flat washer. Followed by the mount. Once thats on, the top smaller rubber, then the smaller dished washer, dish facring down.

That will of course render an original dish washer spare. You dont need this anymore.
