Bits tied out of the way
Diff in one piece
Cover off
extension removed
carrier ready to come out
just the pinion in there
new ring gear on carrier
the mk3 bearing capture tool
I want the bearing as it's only done about 1500 miles!
pop this in the press and off it comes
Takes about 2 1/2 hours to get the diff off, about 4 hours to regear by the time I've cycled through a few shims and about 2 1/2 hours to put it all back together again.
