i used the material 5083 and copy pattern from asfir's (photo)..
so i made mine with 50 euro..
remaining only to finish the steel angle bar that protected the chasis and support the skid plate..

in the position that is the red marker ,is going to open holes and install tie rods to the existing original support holes with thread for more strength

Is there anything you won't make?

I've always said that the ASFIR plates are way way waaaay over priced and that there isn't much to making some. Now if you can weld ally that's great, but in terms of making some for a 90 or 120 out of steel, it's pretty easy. You can get a bit more fancy for eg slitting the edged front to back, bend a lip up and then weld solid, you'll get incredible strength in the plate.

chris u have right and i thought it.. but 5083 its perfect to construct cylindrical tanks but not rectangular or square tanks..dont loves the angles..so the max angle was that (45 deg approximately).
after this point starts to crack to the angle(many professionals told me and show me how this could happened)
iam going to follow your idea but instead of welding iam going to use bolts and nuts that they r going to connect a separate piece as you describe it front to back to reinforce the construction..

Ahh true enough, but I was talking about steel not aluminium. I can't TIG weld yet.
