My fuel neck filler pipe is leaking, but cant find a new one anywhere which fits my model.

Milner offroad sell a new one which only fits the 1992 model and upwards. Mine is a 1991 12 valve hdj80, if anyone has had similar problems or knows where to find one that would be much appreciated?

When you say leaking, do you mean the metal pipe section has become porous (like Swiss cheese) and is weeping? If so, the cheapest fix is to chop out the bad section and replace with rubber fuel pipe and two big stainless jubilee clips. You can replace the overflow / breather section alongside the filler in the same way. it's cheap and simple.

Yes it’s got little holes on the metal where it’s just rusted through a bit. Do you know what size rubber pipe to get a believe if I get one with 45mm internal diameter it should clamp down onto it?

Ahh yes that's common. I don't off hand I'm afraid. Someone might have a dual filler neck kit they could measure

IIRC the large filler pipe is 40mm OD which is a size not readily available in fuel hose. I fitted the OEM part from Milners and cut it in half and joined it to save the all the body lifting rigmarole. I joined the large pipe with this..https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-...285596&hash=item2c936fa7d7:g:~DIAAOSwD0lUkVOy
which was bang on but obviously not much good if you want to replace the whole pipe with rubber. You could certainly get one made up to exactly the right size and shape by one of the silicone hose specialists but it won't be as cheap.
