Hi Julian
do you mean FRB-5 is the pump we need(HDJ80-24v) ?
regards
Lubo

Hi Lubo,
Judging by the site, that is the updated version of the Walbro 6065 so
yes.
Perhaps Craig Vincent will confirm?

I will when I have more time.

Hi Guy's,
Yes the FRB-5 is the correct pump you may want to check pressure from
idle to full revs, under load, at the injection pump inlet as I have yet
to try the new model. Ideally you are aiming for positive pressure of
around 5psi at the inlet from idle to the governor. You can see from
another post of mine that a fuel filter when full may have a pressure
drop of 7psi which the injection pump will not like one bit if not being
force fed. Anything over 3.5"Hg will affect injection timing (a lot of
cars fit in that band) and up around 15-18"Hg you will get cavitation in
the feed pump and if continued to be driven the injection pump will soon
commit suicide. A pusher pump will noticeably improve injection pump
life, often power and torque or crispness slightly (not actually make
power but return it to where it should be) and give greatly extended
fuel filter life.
I like a pusher pump, Racor 900FG, a carton of filters for extended
trips where fuel is off poor quality and check the fuel bowl 1/2-1 hour
after filling with suspicious fuel to see if anything is in the bowl. A
vac/press gauge can be fitted to the turbine series to monitor pressure
drop across the filter.
Craig.
