Fully synth ATF

Given the fact that you can't get all of the ATF out of the auto box during a fluid change, will fully synth ATF fluid 'mix' with what is already in there?

yes, it will just take a few drain / fill cycles before a high percentage of the oil is synthetic.

Thanks Jon, have you any recommendations on which ATF to run with? I have done a quick Google and found Mobil 1 but is this the best?

I don't know enough about them to make any recomendation but I use Amsoil synthetic ATF. I think I've read that Mobil 1 is good as well though.
