Hi all, Snap from Qld here.
I have a 1987 HJ75 Troopy with 2H engine. She is finding it hard to tow the boat loaded up on highway and uphills so going for engine swap.
New suspension from Dobinsons with 2 inch lift.
Currently preparing to swap out the old 2H for a 12HT engine and reconditioned Turbo suitable gearbox,
( 1HZ casing with modified and upgraded internals ). Have most of stuff required so getting eager to start.
Got 12HT import from Brisbane Motor Importers. Gearbox from Nth Lakes 4x4 Repairs NSW.
4 Terrain Ultimate Heavy Duty Clutch kit.
3 inch dump and engine pipe to custom exhaust.
Intercooler from Plazmaman but will wait until engine is in to sort out any clearance issues with top mount.
Bonnet Scoop from Vaderworx to be installed.
Looking for any advise from those that have done this swap before if possible ?
