Gearbox Repair

Hey Guys,
I posted a while ago about gearbox fault and how to repair it- I have a
lockup that wont "lock-up"!
I know guys posted on how to diagnose the fault yourself, but I've just run
out of time on this one and need to find someone to do it for me! I know
that a coupl eof you guys have used a place in Exeter- who was it? and can
you recommend them?
I'm based in Taunton BTW (and drive a faintly battered lifted snorkelled 80
in silver/gold) so anyone in Bristol or Exeter would be fine.

Used them (mine's a manual box, but they do autos) and would definitely

Have you drained the oil, removed the pan, replaced the oil filter and
refilled with Toyo oil. This may improve the AT performance and will
give an opp for a small peek inside for any obvious damage.
Unless you think it is purely electrical.
If your AT box ends up being costly to repair. you should consider
putting in a second hand manual. There's good ones about.
My AT was acting up here in Libya and a second hand manual was plan B
after filter change.
Filter change worked in my case.
