Thanks for these Grant!

I’m yet to follow the links, but I’m already familiar with Andrew St Pierre White presentations which are generally superb, as well as Ronny Dahl and Motor Trend Channel and one or two of the Expedition Overland videos.

All 4 Aventure will be a new one for me, so I’m looking forward to seeing some of them, now.

There are many others too, that may be of interest, some closely associated with Motor Trend, such as Roadkill and other special feature supplements...

I think Dirt Every Day is often worth a watch and for those that haven’t explored YouTube much, there’s a plethora of amateur and professionally produced How-To type videos, which are very informative for home-maintenance and repairs of specific vehicles, which I’ve found invaluable, even though I’m still not as confident to do more major repairs and maintenance as I should be.

It would be great if this thread developed into some sort of an evolving “index” of good YouTube links, they won’t suit all members I’m sure, but they would be a good source of “alternative” entertainment to the humdrum of stuff broadcast on TV these days (especially here :puke-front:).

Cheers Clive - that is the hope re the index. There is an awful lot of really high quality stuff on youtube but finding it at times can be difficult.

I come across good stuff, mostly by chance.

I’m not an avid fan of subscribing, but once or twice I have...
 
Reminds me of the West Coat of Ireland in 1972. We went in a LWB landrover and slept in the back. Nob0dy around for miles and free Salmon fishing with worms. Odd local around would use a small grappling iron and drag it over the back of the fish. No breakdown cover, never broke down but did overturn so a local sent a Bedford RL army lorry to turn me the right way up.

That was good when he first started. Him his Mrs going on adventures. Mostly now its all about the "comunity"

I love overland travel, but i've always wanted to sail around the world. Once the boys are a bit older i'm going to learn to sail with them, then when they leave home me and Amy might just pack up and head off (insert your own 'Roger the cabin boy' gag....
