Karen,
You need to be a bit more specific. Maps of Africa, the Middle
East or Europe? Which make of GPS?

I have some maps of the Near East, they are nautical pilotage maps' i.e. ONC
1:1,000,000 and TPC 1:500,000; they're okay for an overview but you might
wish to consider buying some fairly detailed ones, i.e. from Stanfords in
London (they're website is www.stanfords.co.uk/mapshop ). Also contact RGS
(Royal Geographical Society) in London. You can arrange to visit them and
they have quite an extensive map room, their website is
http://www.rgs.org/AboutUs/Visiting+the+Society/Visiting+the+Society.htm
Happy hunting

Thanks Renate

We are currently in Kigali=2C Rwanda. Our original route was via Sudan to the west coast. The current situation doesn't make it possible. We consider the middle east as an option to go via Turkey to Europe back to UK.

Thank you for the info.
