Headlights blow straight away

hey guys,

I installed new h1 and h4 lights and the h1 blow as soon as i switch them on. Does anyone know what this could be ?

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Do either of the old h1 bubs still work if you plug them in?

Check you've got 12V across the terminals when you turn the lights on, and check you havent got a short to ground on the +ve terminal

You didn't touch the glass on the new bulbs with your fingers did you? That can cause them to fail

Is it a 24v car?
Did you install 12v bulbs?

Yeh my old 60 was 24v, Borrowed a mates Trailer, Completely forgot .... And Pop! Pop! Pop!.....Doh!
