Hi does anyone have a reasonably easy fix for a heater that’s always on?

The heater cable on these aged but great machines buggers up after many years. I turn my heater tap on start of every winter and off at start of September. If you lift the hood and look from the passenger side you can see the heater tap above the motor on the firewall. If the cable is still connected to it pull it off and turn the heater tap off manually. Replacing the heater cable is a major headache is why you don't. Its not hard to do but if you have trouble I'll see if I can post a photo. Good luck..... Bungy

Hi Bungy thanks for the advice , I sprayed a heap of wd40 around the tap and for now it’s working
Cheers
