Howdy!
I'm Derek.
I'm a wildlife biologist studying giraffes in Tanzania.
www.wildnatureinstitute.org has the details of my work.
I have 2 Troopys:
#1 is a 1993 with 400k km, bull bar, sliders, 2 rear tyre carriers, bash plates, safari pop top, drivers hatch, and rear passenger door.
#2 is a 2005 with 120k km, mostly stock except for Pirelli A/T tyres. I just bought it and plan to build in a bed, fridge, water tank, and rear door table for camping. I'll also cut some roof hatches for work and add a roof rack.
Glad to find a crowd of like-minded Land Cruiser lovers!

Welcome aboard Derek, you seem to know what it’s all about.

Looking forward to some photies of the trucks, with a few giraffes thrown in, there’s not so many of them to study here.

Keep up the good work BTW, and take care

Nick - that's what the lift up panel in the roof is for, so they don't have bend down too much to see out of the windows

Derek, welcome. I think your Troopy looks superb, so fit for purpose and so 'at home' in its surroundings.

Regards,

Rodger

Here's Imara (#1) in current state of undress.
