HID kit feedback

Hi,
I have managed to get the Frogs Island HID kit installed and running and it is definitely an improvement over the stock lighting, although I haven' had a chance to test it against the stock lighting with a light meter - will do later this week.
The frustrating thing with the kit is that the wiring is quite restrictive on where you can put the ballasts and the bank of three relays and two fuses don't have any fixings so that they can be easily and tidily mounted in the engine bay - personally I would prefer to just get the balasts and bulbs and then make up my own loom.
Having said that, on balance I would say that it is well worth considering getting.
I'll report back on the actual improvement later this week.

Hello then but this is not so hard to doing. Can you not just buy the
bolbs and balasts?

Hi Benoit,
That is exactly what I am going to look in to ;-)

Thanks for the feedback.
So is it a "proper" H4 bulb replacement, with two arcs in a single
capsule, or does it replace both H4 (with just low beam) and H1 inner?
And does the low beam stay on when high is on? Or, more sensible
question, when you flip from high back to low is there a brief period of
"warm-up" before you get full low beam brightness?
Sorry for the endless questions, but these are the issues that my
research has suggested are the potential problems.
