Dear cruisers,
appologies for not writing much to this forum mainly due to reading the mails
irregularly, being a bit of a techno phobeand not having a popular model of cruiser.
Anyway following some of your recent subjects.......
I have spoken to my local oil supplier expressig concerns and questions taken from the
forum. He has spoken to the manufacturer and they confirm their products which are
suitable for turbo diesel application would be 2500 to 3500 ppm of calcium. The oil
manufacturer is called EXOL......used to be MAXOL...an Irish company I understand.
I personally find their product very good and well priced.
Sometime ago there was mention of airbag suspension assist systems.Well I work on
American motorhomes ,one of the many jobs we do is fitting Airlift air bag kits from
USA.,we are a UK agent. Some listing are for Toyotas but which specific models I don`t
know.I can find out what`s listed if there is any interest and give you the bosses
telephone number.
Julian you mention that you are going to build an expedition vehicle shortly, part of that
would involve a hot water system/tank.I expect that you would use the engine heat as a
source, if so I may be able to help.A product was made by a company that i do some
work for, which would use the heat from the pipes to the heater matrix to warm a
secondary supply.
Can anyone recommend dampers for my LJ78 1993 EFI TURBO DIESEL.
Lastly for this entry, due to the distances I now have to travel to/from work it is with much
regret that I must sell my Toyota Hilux...mk1,1980 W reg.Taxed and Tested.Powered by
Alfa Romeo 2.5 V6 fuel injection.Suspension lift,body lift,poly bushes,braided brake
hoses,gas shocks,air bags,brake biasfront/rear,bed liner,double roll bar,custom
bumpers ,35x12,50r15WRANGLER MT`S.I have owned this vehicle for nearly 10 years
,during which time the vehicle has been extensively modified , rebuilt , or refurbished .
So saleorW.H.Y. =A32k
Thanks for listening hope some of this may be of use.

Hi Dave,
Sorry we haven't had a chance to catch up yet, time just seems to be
flying by.
I might be interested in these. I don't want to be running Heavy Duty
suspension all the time, but will need extra support when fully loaded
for trips to Scotland or Morocco and I know a number of people go down
the air bag route.
I'll be in touch at some point, but probably not for a couple of
months.
THat's the sort of thing I would be after. I have seen a kit on Tony
Steel's 80 that I was working on last year and it looked ideal.
The key thing is making sure it is plumbed in to a circuit that had
water flowing through it all the time since some heater matrix stop the
flow of hot water when the temperature is set to cold so if you plumb
into that circuit you would only get hot water when the heating is set
to hot - not what you want in the Moroccan heat!

Hi Dave,
