Hj47, no electrical power at all

I left my hj47 sit for 2 weeks and when I came back to it, it had no electrical power anywhere. I’ve checked every fuse. I’ve replaced the battery with a new one (correct polarity) but I have no power anywhere. It won’t glow, won’t crank no lights anywhere. Even from one terminal to the other no power but when I disconnect one of the leads they battery reads 12.3 volts but when I connect the leads again it doesn’t read anything

Hi,

I am no electrican but it sounds to me and my untrained ear like the earth lead from the battery is not making a connection.
Maybe in those 2 weeks some sort of rodent has eaten through the cable....

G’day,
where are you measuring the voltage from?
if you are measuring it directly at the battery terminals on the battery and the voltage drops to 0v when you connect the leads the battery is the issue.
