Homework project

I got home last week and my daughter asked for some help with her homework, their half term project is the make a WW2 plane! They've been learning about WW2.

So we made a plan and she outlined a design in some ply (my old drawer from the 80)

Bit of jigsaw work from me, few screws and we had a frame

She added cardboard to shape it, paper and pva glue

I made a little propeller from some scrap aluminium i had while she painted it, added a small bearing so it turns

Then the finished product

Very proud of her, designed it and made it look really good. Only had help with ideas and the cutting part.
One happy little girl.

Bugger...when you mentioned ply and WW2 Plane in the same sentence I thought it would be a mosquito ....

Good job ,
Perhaps she could do a little research and tell the teacher they really did make one of the outstanding aircraft of WW2 out of wood .
They used to fly up the dykes and canals in Holland below the level of the banks ....
