Saw this on YouTube this morning. It's a little scary / funny to be honest!

Bet you he (and his insurance company) wishes that he had checked the crossing before attempting to skim his 4wd over the water!

OMG!
Looks like a new car...
The driver must feel really stupid :)

Castle fueled confidence me thinks...

How would the windscreen have cracked? Buckled chassis?

It wasn't buckled by the impact with the water, I think it might have been a wrong recovery attempt, line over top of cab?

:wtf: i really cant believe you would even attempt that without a snorkel and at least seeing how deep it was first. it must be a company car:lol:

I distinctly heard him say 'hold my beer while I show you what my bakkie can do' !!!

Maybe it was a classic case of a
3 litre Ford
2 litre Coke
1 litre brandy.

To be fair he came down a well used entry ramp and there is also and exit ramp on the other side . I'm going to guess he has driven through there many a time before without problems . What makes me say this is we used to cut through a few fields on dirtbikes when we were kids , it was a shortcut to the old mines that we used as a track . I guess the farmer who owned the fields didn't like this much because one day the 3ft wide 1 inch stream we used to ride over became 3ft wide and 3ft deep . We were travelling about 50mph when we found out - IT HURT!

Hit water like that and it will appear to be solid. Water pressure pushed the screen inwards, buckling the roof downwards. Basically a write off.

ooops
thats going to hurt the pocket book.
the way that truck stopped suddenly on the way in makes me think someone sabatoged the track with a backhoe (like Shayne mentioned) and then to sink 2 feet under the water.
if they could find out who done it, i could see a lawsuit in the making.

I'm inclined to agree. No body in their right mind would attempt to drive through 7ft of water. He must have thought it was maybe 2ft at the most. Someone conned him. Can anyone translate the comments?

Here either ... but probably a different reason. My work proxy complains about it being porn!
