Hi there ,

I tried to adjust my handbrake cable on my 2001 100 series - but the cable snapped. I ordered another cable (part number 46420-60060).
I can not understand how the main part of the cable seperates from the replacement part. Here are some photos of my cable and of the new section.

I did remove the retaining clip from the old cable. I thread i found on here seems to say that the cable simple pulls out, but i can't see how this is possible as there is a washer on one side which can't be removed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ryan

Does'nt that nut unscrew bringing the washer with it. I can't see the threads though. Is that a rubber boot in your fingers ?

yes that is the rubber boot, the nut appears to do nothing - i turn it but all it does is turn the rubber boot...
