How the hell did a knife man get into the Westminster grounds ? Reading the (unreliable press) it looks like that gate is used for members cars to just come and go and does not have armed guards. I think a 10 year old would have spotted that weak point. Not a hindsight case but a failure.

Why was there an officer on the gate ? Presumably for security. Therefore why did he not have a stab vest on. The person trying to revive him said he had a badly bleeding chest wound.

Could it be the same reason that Whitehouse security removed security sensors along a section of fence it raised and then had an 'uninvited' guest climb over maybe?

A good question would be: Why was the officer not armed? What was he supposed to do, in case of anything? Call the Police??????
