HZJ78 - Engine number / gearbox identification

Anyone know where I can find the engine number on a 1HZ engine ?
Also, is there a way to identify what gearbox is mounted ?

I'm looking into a 2001 HZJ-78

Hey Chris,

On my 1HZ the engine number is on the left side of the engine block towards the back about half way up (looking from the front). I couldn't see it when I first looked due to the build of of oil etc but a bit of a clean soon revealed it. Will try to get a photo later for you.

Can't help you with the gearbox but i'm sure someone will.

Your gearbox is probably a R151.
